With less than 10 weeks to go (yes, you heard that right!) until Explorations in Albania, we know you're all buzzing for this incredible Anjunadeep event on the shores of the Adriatic! This 5 night festival will feature over 35 Anjunadeep artists from Jody Wisternoff to Jaytech and Moon Boots. We're in for a real treat!
The location
We know what you thinking... Albania. It's not the first place you'd think of for a music festival. But as the Anjuna team have proved, Albania appears to be an undiscovered hidden gem, full of secluded coves, beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. Surrounded by immense mountains, it's an idyllic backdrop for what we think will be one of the best music festivals of the year!Dhërmi's pretty little village is the home to many of you over the festival period, and is nestled right on the beach. Where ever you are staying, you're bound to be overwhelmed by the beauty and serenity of this Albanian haven!
The Stages
So far, 3 stages have been announced. These are dotted around Dhërmi and the surrounding areas, and different artists will be playing sets at different times throughout the festival.
Empire is the first of the 3 stages, with artists such as Marsh, Way Out West, Ben Böhmer, Jody Wisternoff and a whole host of other big names. It's the largest stage at Explorations, and sits between the stunning mountains of Albania and the clear blue waters of the Ionian Sea.
Splendor is a smaller stage showcasing the whole range of the Anjunadeep sound. Set on the beaches, this serene beach bar transforms into a vibrant nightclub in the evening, and you'll be able to see artists like Dusky, Jaytech, Tinlicker and Michael Cassette!
The Cove is situated in the heart of Dhërmi's pretty village coastline. Prepare to chill out to the sounds of Yotto, or dance away to a disco set by Moon Boots and discover Jody Wisternoff's influences at this beautiful beach stage.
Anjunadeep have said to prepare for some extra hidden and secret performances throughout the festival too, so make sure you keep your eyes pealed and ears open!
We've already heard that there will be a special performance at Gjipe Beach...
The Artists
As we've already mentioned above, there's a whole host of Anjunadeep artists making their way to Albania! We've been promised over 35 in total, with massive names like Jody Wisternoff, Jaytech, Way Out West, Ben Böhmer, Eli & Fur, Lane 8, 16BL, Cubicolor... the list goes on.
But what's great about Explorations is that there are so many artists, your damn sure to find something totally new. You'll be discovering new music, hearing artists that you've not even heard of and falling in love with their vibes. All in a tranquil and serene landscape. What could be more perfect?
